All proceeds of the 2006 Phoenix Halloween Benefit are donated to the Petaluma Phoenix Center Inc., a local non-profit organization formed to keep the historical theater open.  The center hosts after-school programs for the local youth, accepts and maintains local donations to the theater such as art programs, the famous "Poetry Slam", "School of Rock", computers, stage equipment and even acoustic pianos. They also continue to raise funds for the ongoing necessary retrofitting and rehabilitation of the historical building.

The Phoenix dates back to the early 1900's and has deep roots in Petaluma and Sonoma County history. With previous use as an Opera House and Movie Cinema, the theater now functions as both a local and national music venue.
